Jeff Corey joined The Safegard Group as an Insurance Advisor in December of 2015. He is responsible for the marketing, consulting, servicing and production of new accounts. Jeff has experience working with a variety of industries, while specializing in manufacturing, transportation, and construction. He has earned his Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist Designation from the Chubb School of Insurance and holds his Professional Worker’s Compensation Advisor Certification. He is currently pursuing the Certified Insurance Counselor Designation.
Prior to his insurance career, Jeff played five years of Professional Ice Hockey in the U.S. and in Europe. He enjoyed traveling and living in unique places such as Canada, Denmark, Croatia, Germany, and Sweden. Jeff earned a full athletic scholarship to the University of Vermont and played Division 1 Ice Hockey for the Catamounts. He graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. In 2013, Jeff started the Corey’s Cup Hockey League (CCHL) of Wilmington, a summer league that pulls 100 of the best ice hockey players from DE and PA to play in a professional and highly competitive environment.
Jeff currently resides in Wilmington, DE with his children and his wife, Megan, owner of Shop Mamie, a women’s clothing boutique in Wilmington. He enjoys winter and water sports, playing golf, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He also remains active in his community as a member of the St. Patrick’s Day Society, a nonprofit organization that works with St. Patrick’s Center of Wilmington, DE.
