Please join me in welcoming Kelly Wentzel to The Safegard Group! A few weeks ago, Kelly began her full-time position with us as an Account Manager for our Employee Benefits division. We are very confident in Kelly’s abilities and look forward to her helping us continue the growth of Employee Benefits division of The Safegard Group.
About Kelly Wentzel
Kelly Wentzel joined our team in 2017 and has over 20 years in the insurance industry. As an Account Manager on our Employee Benefits team, her main responsibilities are to manage, review and renew the Medical, Ancillary and Voluntary Benefits for our Group Benefit Clients. Kelly is also focused on educating and empowering employees to confidently make better healthcare decisions and understand how to utilize their benefits effectively.
Kelly began her insurance career as a cold caller at Alpha Benefits Group in 1997 while attending Delaware Valley University where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Marketing and Business Administration. Upon graduating from college, she accepted a full-time position with Alpha where she learned the industry and started their Ancillary benefits division, eventually being promoted to Vice President of Marketing. In 2008 she joined JP Warner Associates as an Account Manager and began working with Medical and learning how to prepare analysis for strategic and progressive medical plan design options for her clients. Kelly then joined Brown & Brown of Lehigh Valley in 2013 and The Equinox Agency in 2015 where she continued to learn and hone her Account Management and sales skills. To round out her knowledge, she also held positions at Baltimore Life in 2007 where she assisted individuals with their personal insurance needs and Lehigh Valley Hospital in 2013 where she facilitated the implementation of Corporate Wellness programs through their BeneFIT Corporate Wellness program.
Kelly and her boyfriend, Mike have a daughter Cindy. Outside of the office, Kelly enjoys playing disc golf, hiking, watching Philadelphia Eagles football and spending time with her family.
