The Safegard Group’s Vice President, Bob Manley, was recognized by the Subcontractors Association of Delaware Valley as Outstanding SADV Member of the Year during their Annual Showcase this past Thursday, February 18. Bob has been a Board Member for over a decade and has contributed countless hours to the membership and to enhancing the overall organization. This is actually the second time he’s been singled out for his contributions to SADV, Bob was named Member of the Year in 2005 and was the first person not directly in the construction industry to earn this honor.
Bob joined the Safegard Group, Inc. in 2012, as Vice President. He provides Risk Management Services, including non-insurance solutions, for commercial entities. Bob has many years of experience in Captive programs and non-traditional insurance options. Bob began his career in the insurance industry as an Account Executive with Wausau Insurance, where he was named “Rookie of the Year”, and transitioned to the Agency side in 1985 when he was recruited by a regional broker.
Bob is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and holds the Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation as well. He continues to expand his client services; specializing in Construction, Manufacturing, Wholesale Distributors and Global programs.
Bob graduated of Pennsylvania State University with High Distinction and holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing. He has contributed expertise to the Construction Industry by serving on the Board of Subcontractors Association of the Delaware Valley. He is also active in the General Building Contractors Association and the Construction Financial Managers Association. He has been a speaker and lead seminars at various local and national Association meetings
Bob is an active member of his church, serving on various committees, including Church Council as well as being a member of the Lions Club.
